Helen McDonnell is a Tattooist and sometime artist on the other day’s.

THE REFOUND PIECE

This item appealed to me because of its functionality and the mystery surrounding such an object. I decided to change it into a cabinet, to hold records. Finding slithers of money tucked away in the metal frame, I thought I was in the money… but alas it was not to be!
Inspired by the unknown history I decided to retain the roughness of the object, decorating it with victorian images related to music and sound. For collectors of vinyl..lovingly cared for all these years, I salute you.
