ARTIST STATEMENT
James is behind “It’s All Gone Vintage Darling!”, a Belfast based business specializing in vintage furniture and home ware as well as upstyled items for his ‘Twisted Vintage’ range of bespoke vintage furniture. James has recreated this beautiful vintage sideboard for ReFound.
THE REFOUND PIECE
This classic Ercol Windsor Sideboard, with its elegant lines and beautiful proportions started life as a bit of a ‘plain jane’ but with a bit of “Twisted Vintage” magic it has been transformed to be elegant and chic. The Refound intervention was kept to a minimum so as not to detract from the clean lines of the original piece. The colour palette chosen is in keeping with the pieces vintage. Soft dove grey is complemented by charcoal, black and a little dash of 1950s sketchbook Yellow.The same palette continues into the pieces interior.
