ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a contemporary street/fine artist working primarily with aerosol and stenciling techniques. My work focuses on drawing connections with instantly recognizable imagery and pop culture symbolism. I take influence from Comic Books, Punk and Skate Culture all of which feature heavily in my gallery pieces and my work with ReFound.
THE REFOUND PIECE
I was instantly drawn to the childlike quality of the table. Looking back at the influences of my own childhood I decided to work with the instantly recognizable figure of Charlie Brown from the Peanuts comic strip. The colour scheme and tabletop design is my interpretation of his iconic t-shirt.
MATERIALS: spray-paint, varnish and vintage comic strips.
